But when you understand the basic fundamental approach of eating whole, unprocessed foods, you start to see how this diet works practically. For example, Europeans resist factory farming, both as a philosophy and as a revolution that brings them those processed foods that they know are bad for human consumption in general. On the other hand, those processed carbs and junk food goodies came to America early, with an apogee in the 1950s. But that doesn’t mean you have to eat the stuff! A Mediterranean diet is a great road map to looking and feeling better, and using the power of natural whole food to live longer with a better quality of life.
